Pequeño bestiario de monstruos políticos [Small Bestiary of Political Monsters] is a book of essays that addresses the subtext of monsters as a cultural construction of political meaning. From the political regimes they represent, to the social fears they embody, and the reasons why at certain moments they become a motif of collective terror, this bestiary analyzes different hybrid creatures arising from desire and collective fear. Its different chapters are written by specialists in the fantastic realm, who have given shape to a book which is also accessible to non-academic readers.
